Dr. Catherine Middleton (Professor, Ted Rogers School of Information Technology Management at Ryerson University) is leading a team of scholars exploring the development and use of mobile and broadband communication technologies. Funded by the Canada Research Chairs program, Dr. Middleton’s research addresses four key themes:
- Individual adoption of the internet and mobile technologies
- Organizational impacts of ‘always-on’ communication technologies (e.g. smart phones)
- Building broadband and mobile communications infrastructure to meet the needs of citizens
- Developing a policy environment to ensure that citizens have access to information and communication technologies and are able to benefit from their use
This web site provides links to specific research projects and publications that address these themes.
